Anti-aliasing in latest version?

#1

I’m checking the latest version (downloaded few minutes ago) and I don’t seem to be able to find the AA option anymore (it was in the machine/profile configuration).

I sometimes post-process the images with an external software so I need a no-AA option.

hi,

which machine are you using?
We’ve optimized settings away for machines that are not supporting AA.

The settings are now setup as follows:
(this was messy before so had to be cleaned)

- part pre processing filters: these are affecting your geometry before slicing and are undone after slicing
(if activated)

- slice post processing filters: these are applied to your slices/or curves outputted.

Which settings are shown per machine are also stored in the settings file.

If somehow a conversion of an old machine file didn’t 100% go corrrectly you can view the settings file (.xml) which is located here:

C:\Users****\AppData\Roaming\3D_FORMWARE3D_{741D228E-AC07-40C2-A9DC-560B18A54F03}

For example the AA settings is saved under:
machines -> machine -> SettingAntiAliasing (true or false)

I have a phrozen shuffle, it certainly supports anti-aliasing but I can’t see the option you are referring to

aah i see. It’s a conversion problem. We made many changes to the new machine formats; appears this was was not activated by default. Should have.

Please check the settings.xml as i described above. This will make it visible.

I will update the installer to turn AA on default for imported machines.

thx for reporting this

thanks for the tip, setting the AA to true in the settings.xml file worked!

Now… can we have 3d AA?

Cheers
