Bottom Layer Thickness for SLA

#1

Is there a way to set a bottom layer thickness for SLA? For instance If I want to slice at 50 micron but I want my bottom layers to be at 100 micron. I see the number of bottom layers and the speed adjustment in the SLA slice settings but not a thickness.

Hi,

No currently no option to do this.

Variable slicing (something like what formlabs does in their new form3) is something that is on my list of imlpementing but with a low/medium priority.

The variety in geometry of models that users are printing is so large that variable layer height would only make sense in very small use cases of simple objects.
In example you are printing a sphere.

Secondly; the resin exposure needed to solidify most resins is from what I understand roughly a y=ax+b relationship. That means the time win in using larger layers is only marginal in my opinion. You need to expose longer.

Makes sense?
