I am trying out this software and I used a mini fig model I have and put manual supports on it and when I try to save it as a *.stl file I keep getting this error. Is it because I am on a trial?

Hi,

Not sure why this happens. I can’t replicate the behaviour.
Are you able to provide me with some screenshots/steps/model/exportsettings you are using?
(can also be over email)

And perhaps with which settings you export it.
You can send me the .fw3d project file. Then i have your supports as well.

Hi,

I’ve analysed your file. Couple things:

  1. all normals in your mesh are wrong. This causes faulty shading. This can be because of wrong exporting of modelling software. As a consequense you get some errors.

  2. I’ve found there was some empty linked geometry in one of the supports. This caused the error in exporting.
    I’ve fixed this; but it’s hard to say exactly what caused it.

Let me know if you still need the file fixed.
