I am often working with models with long straight edges and find the need to manually place supports along these edges. The auto generation of support does not place them in the best way visually. It would be nice if there was a way to add a latices like support along a line that you can draw. Adding the option to select the distance each tip is apart from each other would be nice. When doing this manually in the edit points feature I find that the supports do not line up well or are time consuming to place. I also find that the points I place are not always translated into an actual support tip being placed (but thats probably another issue).
