Overwrite printer defaults

#1

Hi all,
I’m not shure if I’m at the right place for my question. I have a Phrozen Mighty 8K printer wich has 400mm in Z-axis. But I need 450mm for a specific file.
Formware offers the possibility to overwrite the print aera dimension. I imagine to replace the z-axis rail and the ball spindle for a slightly bigger one so i may get 450-500mm travel way.
Does anyone know if this will work? In my opinion it might do.

Kind regards Bruno

Hi Bruno,

The hardware is based on ctb electronics. When creating the .ctb print file we do supply the file with the max z dimension. So if the hardware is checking agains that number you should be fine.

I don’t think they hardcode these numbers inside the machine.
